I don't always pray, but when I do, I fall speechless.

Here's a good reminder from Cardinal Dolan that it's really okay to appear retarded in your prayers.

There are times when I want something in particular, so much so that my prayers contain the same petition for a while. And there are times when I want a good many things, but when I close my eyes in prayer, they all fall into insignificance and I'm left with awkward silence. I can imagine Jesus tapping his foot, waiting, saying, "Yes, my child? What is it that you want to say?" and I'm like, "Umm... nothing." *blush*

I can only hope it's a good sign.
